Dave has dedicated years to the Republican Party - learn about his involvement.

A neighbor and friend of Dave's describes him as:

"One of those guys that you remember from high school or college who always thought before he did something,  someone who seemed to have a genuine interest in others, and who was born with a natural talent of understanding the big picture."

Those who know Dave Greenspan agree that he is a man of honor and integrity.  Dave values the family and values the worth and dignity of each human being.  He thinks before he speaks.  He takes the time to listen to others as he formulates the "whole picture" on each issue.  He does not call attention to himself; rather, he calls attention to the issues and to others who need attention and who need to be represented.

When asked why he wanted to run for public office, Dave said, "I want to use my energy and time to preserve sound, sensible representation for our county and our community.  It will give me great satisfaction knowing that I made a difference for my constituents and community and that they I made a stand for what is right."

Elected Official Experience

Dave Greenspan was elected to the inaugural City Council for the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia.  Sandy Springs is Atlanta’s second largest city and Georgia’s seventh with a population of almost 85,000 residents.  As a founding member of the city, Dave was intimately involved in all aspects of starting a city from the ground up – from deliberating and voting all ordinances and land use plans to launching the City’s first Police and Fire Departments.  Two of Dave’s most notable accomplishments include working with the City Manager and Finance Director to help develop the City’s first Fund Balance Reserve Policy and to direct a strategic partnership with the Board of Education on a Recreation and Parks initiative that expanded the City’s parks program. 

Community Involvement

Dave currently serves our community as a member of:

·          City of Westlake’s Board of Zoning Appeals – Secretary

·          Government Relations Committee – The Beck Center for the Performing Arts, Lakewood

·          Glen’s Homeowners Association – Secretary

Committed to the belief that sports can be an important vehicle for instilling lifelong values in our youth, Dave has dedicated a significant amount of time coaching sports teams in various community youth leagues.  Dave has also served as commissioner of youth soccer and baseball leagues and was the co-President of the Booster Club at his children's school.

Education

Earning a Leadership scholarship, Dave graduated from Troy University in Alabama where he earned a degree in business administration and accounting.  Since graduation, Dave has worked hard to develop his career in finance and operational leadership from a staff accountant to Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.  His colleagues credit him with being the financial backbone of emerging businesses and ensuring the financial integrity of both private and publicly traded companies.

Professional Experience

No stranger to hard work, Dave has held leadership positions with Atlanta Olympic Broadcasting, Turner Media Consultants, and the PGA TOUR Radio Network.  Currently, Dave is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Green Elk Consulting Services,  a consulting company that focuses on emerging/start-up ventures and turn-around business entities.

Family

Dave is married and the father of three children.
